Cheff Club EMP Pop Up.- An A In my chart

Updated: Sep 21, 2019

Aspen, Colorado

There is something that can't be missing in Aspen and that is good food. During the day you can't stop enjoying the sky and the different options for fun in the snow offered by the different stations in the area such as Aspen, Buttermilk or Snow Mass. There are options for everyone, from beginners to the most expert; but when the night comes you have even more options but in the culinary area. You have Italian, Mexican, Vietnamese, American, Japanese, French, Swiss, for carnivores, vegetarians, etc.

We decided ahead of time for an option at the St Regis hotel that offered a Pop-Up that is the fashion option offered by large and famous restaurants in the United States to visit other restaurants and make presentations of a day or mini seasons and expose their famous menus.

At this occasion the Pop-Up exponent was nothing more and nothing less than the Eleven Madison Park in New York qualified with 3 stars in the Michelin guide and one of the best in the world, so the option was extremely attractive.

We arrived at the restaurant at the time of reservation and were quickly taken care of and placed at our table. Since the beginning the attention was very good and continued the same until the end.

The menu for being a Pop-Up is not broad but balanced and our decisions were the right ones.

We started with a majestic Foie Gras with black truffle which was superlative, finely made, you did not want it to end. We ordered several dishes and all were well made.

As a main course we ordered the "king", that is, the Rib Eye, which was very good. If you are in Colorado you have the opportunity to eat great cuts of meat. In this area of the country several of the best meat farms in the United States are located.

Something that we have to take into account is that becomes a bit complex to eat a perfectly done cut in such a cold climate. After cooked the meat lasts little time hot and when it gets cold fast it loses the perfect point, but it is nothing that we can not drive if we are very hungry.

His wine list was limited but impeccable and desserts were the perfect ending to a great dinner.

In general, Aspen is a magical place to always return where to can find excellent food and of course a lot of alcohol!
